One of the biggest misunderstandings about muscle building is that it happens simply by resistance or weight training. There are multiple components to building big muscles. First, is your genetic disposition and your gender. Men and woman alike, can build muscle, but they will only get as big as their frame will allow them. So the genetic makeup has a great deal to do with this. Anyone can get in the best shape of their lives, but they will achieve what is best for them, not what is best for anyone else. We are all positively unique!
As the saying goes, "You are what you eat." And, "Abs are made in the kitchen." You can not work of bad nutritional habits. The caloric intake is not as important as where the calories come from.
